The Planner

The Planner is a tool designed to assist
instructors when setting up one or multiple simulations that are the same Product type
and require the same configurations, most specifically the same dates for when
rounds are to be simulated.
To use the Planner:
- Access your portal at www.praxar.com, go to Groups, find the appropriate group and click on the ''Access'' button.
- Select the Planner tab, and start the configuration.
Planner Settings: Preparation
- Locking the Tutorials and/or the Practice Zone: By default, the Tutorials and the Practice Zone will remain available for the entire simulation. If you want to close them, you need to set a specific date/time.
- Setting a determined number of rounds to achieve in the Practice Zone: You choose if there is a required number of rounds to be completed, or leave the number at 0.
Planner Settings: Simulation
- Unlocking the Simulation: Select a date and time for when the Simulation should open. It's closed by default, so this step is important.
- Completing the tutorials: Choose whether students must complete all Tutorials questions before starting the simulation.Note: In the Team version, new teams cannot be formed after Year 1. If tutorial completion is required before Year 1, students who have not finished may miss the opportunity to join or form a company.
- Beginning at Test Year or not: Uncheck the box if you want students to start at Year 1. To find out more about the Test Year, see here.
- Simulate automatically: By default, each round must be simulated manually. To automate the process, simply set an End Date for each round (maximum 10), and the simulation will run automatically on those dates.
- For SOLO versions, choose whether Students can simulate rounds at their own pace or enable "Pacing Control" to restrict access based on your settings. To learn more, click here.
Planner Settings: Advice & Analysis
- Advice and Analysis tools: To display them to the students, check the corresponding box.
Planner Settings: Copy Configuration
- Copying the setting to others groups: Save time by copying your current planner settings to other groups with just one click. This feature allows you to quickly duplicate your configuration across multiple groups, ensuring consistency and reducing setup time.
