The Planner

Overview

The Planner is a central tool that helps instructors schedule and configure their simulations. It allows you to set when the Simulation Phase unlocks for students (a required step) and to plan when each round will run. If you are managing multiple simulations of the same product (for example, two Kayak groups following the same schedule), you can copy your Planner settings from one group to another to save time and ensure consistency.

Accessing the Planner

1. Access your portal at www.praxar.com, go to Groups, find the appropriate group and click on the ''Access'' button.
   
2. Select the Planner tab, and start the configuration.

Planner Settings: The Preparation Phase

1. Locking the Tutorials / Practice Zone: By default, the Tutorials and the Practice Zone are unlocked. If you want to lock them, please set a specific date/time.
   

1. Set minimum number of rounds in the Practice Zone: If there is a required number of rounds for students to complete, please select a number or leave it at 0.  

Planner Settings: The Simulation Phase 

1. MANDATORY STEP - Unlocking the Simulation: Select a date and time for when the Simulation should open.
   

1. Completing the Tutorials: Choose whether students must complete all Tutorial questions before starting the simulation.

1. Beginning at Test Year (Optional): Uncheck the box if you want students to start at Year 1. To find out more about the Test Year, see here.
   

1. Simulate Automatically: To automate the process, simply set an End Date for each round (maximum 10), and the simulation will run automatically on those dates.

Saving Time: Copy Configuration Settings

1. Copying Settings to Other Groups: Save time by copying your current Planner settings to other groups. This feature allows you to quickly duplicate your configuration across multiple groups, ensuring consistency and reducing setup time.
