You can use the Planner to set deadlines for each round for one or more simulation groups, allowing students a specific time frame to make decisions. This also reduces the need to manually simulate each round, providing flexibility for instructors.
How to simulate automatically?
- Access your instructor profile at www.praxar.com, go to Groups and click ''Access'' for the corresponding group.
- Go to the Planner tab.
- In the Simulation menu of the Planner Settings, choose ''Automatic Execution'' by entering an ''End Date'' for each round of the simulation.
Students will only see the next upcoming deadline in the “Simulation” panel.
Tips:
Set deadlines shortly after class to keep students engaged.
If the deadline is too early in the week, students may discuss their decisions before class. To keep attention focused, consider simulating the round at the start of the next class.
Important: The Solo version does not support automatic simulation, as students progress individually. Learn more here.
How to simulate manually?
- Access your instructor profile at www.praxar.com, go to Groups and click ''Access'' for the corresponding group.
- Click on the ''Simulate'' button at the right of your screen or in the Progression section.
Careful: If any of the companies have not finished making their decisions for the year to be simulated, a message will appear to notify you. You can either wait until all the companies have made their decisions or you can proceed with the simulation. In this case, the simulation will use that company’s decisions from the previous year.
