Using the Logbook

Using the Logbook

Info
This article is intended for instructors

Notes
This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.

The Logbook lets you ask students to reflect on their decisions during the simulation. You can create one for a specific round (e.g., "Year 2") or a general one for end-of-simulation reflection.

If you want students to complete entries for multiple rounds, create a separate logbook for each round you wish to evaluate.

Logbooks are flexible and can be used for justifying decisions, reflections, or written evaluations.

Follow these steps to create a logbook:

  1. Log in to www.praxar.com, go to Groups and click ''Access'' on the corresponding group.
  2. In the group's dashboard, select the Evaluations tab.
  3. In the Logbook section, click on the “Add New Logbook'' button. A new pop-up window will open.
  4. Give the evaluation a unique title, write the guidelines, select the logbook type, and then enter the date of availability on the student portal as well as a deadline for completion.

  5. Click on the ''Add'' button to create the Logbook.

  1. Which decisions helped you improve your performance?
  2. Which decisions did not work for you and why?
  3. If you could go back, what would you do differently?

Comments on the current year

Please briefly answer the following questions:
  1. What are your company's weaknesses?
  2. What is your strategy to improve your performance?
  3. Justify your decisions for the current year.

WarningImportant! Deadline: Students will still be able to complete the logbook after the deadline. However, if they access the logbook after the deadline (whether or not they make any changes), the compilation will indicate that the logbook was not completed on time.
