When configuring the options in a
Simulation, the instructor has the choice for students to begin the Simulation
at either a Test Year or directly from Year 1. This allows instructors to have
more flexibility in organizing their course plan when using the Simulation.

By default, the Simulation begins in
the Test Year.
In the Team Version, you can choose to start at Year 1 instead - but only before a company has been created by a student or instructor. Once a company is created, the simulation generates all financial data starting from the initial year, and this setting can no longer be changed.
In the Solo Version, the
option to switch to Year 1 remains available at any time.
To skip the Test Year, you must uncheck the box in
the Planner Settings:
