Financial accounting: How do I select the required fields for my reports?

Info
This article is intended for instructors.
Notes
This article concerns only the three components of the Financial Accounting simulation: Financial Statements, Financial Analysis and Budgeting.

Regardless of which component(s) you're working on, the reporting process is the same. However, in the case of Financial Accounting simulation, there is no distinction between the report fields to be selected, depending on whether you are working with one component or the whole simulation, which can lead to some confusion. This article aims to provide greater clarity on this subject, whether you are using the Report or the Grading tool.

For more information on creating reports, please refer to the article How to use the Report tool
For more information on auto-grading, please refer to the article How to use the Grading tool

You are creating a new report, and now at the stage where you need to select the report fields you want to use in each section:

* Please note that the Activity section and the Progress section will not be displayed in the Grading tool.

Here, we'll concentrate on the Result section. In the Result section, you'll find all the results you can extract from the simulation to evaluate your students. In order to select the appropriate fields, please refer to the following table:

 Simulation linked to desired results
 Fields to select ( % - Points - Max score )
 Financial Accounting (all 3 components)
 Global simulation
 Financial Statements
 Financials Statements
 Financial Analysis
 Analysis
 Ratios
 Budgeting
 Logbook
 Quizzes
 Budget Statements
 Investment Statements

Notes
Please note that you can choose to obtain the results in various forms for all different fields in the Report tool.
  1. Percentage score: (%)*
  2. The number of points earned: Points
  3. Maximum possible score in terms of points: Max score
In the Grading tool, you will only be able to extract the percentage score.
