How to use the Grading report

This article is intended for instructors.

It is possible to create a custom grading summary report for a simulation. This automatic grading report gives you great flexibility in evaluating your students. You can select from a list of fields organized by categories and assign each a weighting of your choice to compose the final grade.

To learn how the rating report is calculated, see this article: The Grading Report - How grades are calculated

To configure the grading report:

  1. Access your profile on www.praxar.com, go to Groups and click on the ''Access'' button of the corresponding group.
  2. Select the Grading tab, and click on the ''Configure'' button.

3. In the “Configure report” window, you can add or delete fields to customize the final grade according to your needs.
4. For each field, you must set a weight and, if required, a minimum score.

WarningNote: The total of the weighting of all fields must be equal to 100. If not, it will not be possible to generate the grading report.

To generate the grading report:
  1. From the Grading tab, click on the ''Generate'' button.
  2. A new window will appear, select the Year for which you want to generate the grading report, and click on the ''Generate'' button.

3. Once the report generation is complete, click on the ''Download this report'' icon to get the Excel file.

To copy the grading report configuration to another group:

  1. From the Grading tab, click on the ''Copy configuration to...''button.
  2. Select the groups, and click on the ''Copy to selected groups'' button.

Please be aware that when you create a grading report for a group by copying the configuration from another group, the two configurations remain entirely independent!

For instance, if you set up a configuration for Group A and then copy this configuration to Group B, any changes made to Group A’s configuration will not be automatically reflected in Group B. To update Group B with the latest configuration from Group A, you will need to repeat the copy process.
