Néo - Instructor Guide

Info
This article is intended for instructors.

Notes
This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.

Introduction to Néo

Néo is the virtual assistant developed by Praxar. Using artificial intelligence, its role is to help you understand the simulations by providing explanations, documentation, and conceptual clarifications. For you, as an instructor, Néo is a pedagogical support tool that allows you to:
  1. Quickly obtain information about the simulation documentation,
  2. Better prepare and support your participants,
  3. Answer clarification questions about certain concepts without contacting support, reducing delays in getting an answer.

You always have access to Néo via the yellow “Virtual Assistant” icon, located at the top right of the page.

Activation of Néo (for your participants)

  1. Unless requested during the deployment of your group, by default, Néo is not activated.
  2. If necessary, you must activate it via the simulation settings. Activation is immediate.

Usage

  1. You can ask Néo an unlimited number of questions.
  2. Rate limit: maximum 5 questions per minute. If exceeded, Néo is suspended for 10 minutes.
  3. When you start a new conversation, you must select the type of simulation (Kayak, Video Games, or Golf).
  4. After each response, a thumbs up and a thumbs down appear to provide quick feedback. This feedback is only used to improve Néo’s answers.
  5. You have the complete history of your conversations and can:
    1. Navigate through this history
    2. Perform searches
    3. Delete conversations

Néo’s Capabilities

Idea
Néo can answer questions related to the content of the simulation. Its sources include:
  1. All tutorials
  2. The contextual help for each decision
  3. Detailed explanations of the financial statements
  4. Additional conceptual clarifications prepared by Praxar

Examples of possible questions:

  1. “In the income statement, how can I influence the [name of the item] line?”

Néo’s Limitations

Alert
Néo has clear limits:
  1. It does not have access to the simulation results (for example, the share value at the end of the year)
  2. It does not suggest decisions
  3. It does not provide strategies for success
  4. It cannot help to bypass the rules or “cheat”

Examples of questions Néo will not answer:

  1. “What decision should I make?”
  2. “At what price should I sell my product?”
  3. “How much should I invest in marketing?”
  4. “How many people should I hire?”

Tracking Participant Usage

  1. You cannot see the content of the questions asked by participants.
  2. In the reporting tool, an indicator shows the total number of questions asked by each participant.
  3. This makes it possible to track engagement without interfering with the confidentiality of the exchanges.
