Why You Must Save Your Decisions

When entering decisions in any decision form, it is essential to click the Save button at the bottom of the form:

Saving ensures that your choices are recorded and will be included when your instructor simulates the current year.

Can I edit my decisions later?

Yes. You can change your decisions at any time before the deadline, even if you have clicked Validate. Just remember: you must save again after making changes, or the updates will not be recorded.

What happens if I forget to save?

  • If you do not click Save:

    • Your new decisions will not be recorded for that round.

    • The simulation will keep your previous round’s decisions.

    • Nothing “resets,” but the system will assume you chose not to make any changes for the current fiscal year.

This may not always be catastrophic, but it can put you at a disadvantage. For example:

    • Competitors who updated their decisions will respond to the market, staying competitive.

    • You may see a drop in sales, lower share value, or weaker overall performance simply because your company did not adapt when others did.

In other words, saving your decisions every time ensures your strategy is accurately reflected in the results.
