Working in a Team: When to Save Decisions

Working in a Team: When to Save Decisions

Info

Notes
This article applies to the Team version of Praxar's Kayak, Golf, and Video game simulations.

Key Concept

All team members share one company. This means everyone sees the same decisions, and any team member can save changes at any time.

There is no auto-save, so communication and coordination are essential.

How Team Decision-Making Works

  • Every team member can log in from their own computer or work together on one device.

  • All decision forms display the same information because you are acting as one manager responsible for all departments.

  • Any team member can enter or modify decisions.

When someone clicks Save:

  • That version of the decisions becomes the official team submission.

  • Other team members will see the updated decisions the next time they refresh their page.

  • The simulation also shows who saved last and when, so the team can track changes:

Why Communication Matters

Only the most recent saved version of the decisions will be used in the simulation. Because of this:

  • Team members should not work in silos.

  • Discuss decisions before saving them.

  • Assign roles or a final reviewer if needed.

  • Let your teammates know when you plan to save, especially close to the deadline.

Good communication prevents accidental overwriting and ensures the team submits a consistent strategy.
