What happens if a team does not make their decisions?
This article is intended for instructors.
This article applies only to the Team version. This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.
If a team does not make the decisions for a round (year) of the simulation, or forgets to save them, some decisions will remain the same as in the previous year (price, choice of suppliers, salaries and wages, etc.).
However, for decisions that need to be made each year (investments, improvements, replacing machinery, etc.), the value “none,” which appears at the beginning of the year, will be used when the simulation is run. Teams that have not made or saved these decisions will lose out on potential growth for their company.
If judged necessary, instructors can also penalize teams that have forgotten to make or save their decisions. For more information, see Penalizing a team.
