Néo - Participant Guide

Info

Notes
This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.

Introduction to Néo

Néo is the virtual assistant developed by Praxar. Using artificial intelligence, its role is to support you in understanding your simulation by providing explanations, documentation, and conceptual clarifications.  For you, as a participant, Néo is a learning tool that allows you to:
  1. Quickly obtain explanations about concepts related to the simulation,
  2. Better understand the impact of your decisions,
  3. Access resources without having to write to your instructor, which reduces delays and is more convenient for you.

Access

  1. You access Néo via the yellow “Néo” icon located at the bottom right of your screen.
  2. Access is available if your instructor has activated Néo for your simulation.

Usage

Important instructions for asking questions:
  1. It is crucial to ask serious questions. Take the time to formulate your questions properly.
  2. You are limited to a maximum of 200 questions for the entire duration of the simulation.
  3. Avoid asking questions that have already been asked:
    1. You have access to the history of your previous questions.
    2. You can search within this history.
    3. If you remember having already discussed a topic with Néo, consult this history first.
  4. Using the history helps avoid wasting your remaining questions.
  5. Ask relevant questions: this improves the quality of responses and optimizes your question quota.
  6. Be careful with overly fast or nonsensical questions:
    1. If you ask more than five questions per minute, or meaningless questions (e.g., typing “Help” several times), Néo will deactivate for 10 minutes for security reasons.

Practical features

Info
After each answer, a thumbs up and a thumbs down appear to indicate whether the answer was relevant. This feedback is only used to improve Néo’s responses.
You have full access to your conversation history and can:
  1. Browse this history,
  2. Search to find an answer,
  3. Delete conversations.

Néo’s Capabilities

Néo can answer questions related to the simulation content. Its sources include:
  1. All tutorials,
  2. Contextual help for each decision,
  3. Detailed explanations of financial statement items,
  4. Additional conceptual clarifications prepared by Praxar.
Examples of possible questions:
  1. “In the income statement, how can we influence the [name of the item]?”

Néo’s Limitations

Alert
Néo has clear limits:
  1. It does not have access to the results of your simulation (e.g., stock value at the end of the year).
  2. It cannot make decisions for you.
  3. It does not provide strategies for success.
  4. It cannot help you bypass rules or “cheat.”
Examples of questions Néo will not answer:
  1. “What decision should we make?”
  2. “At what price should we sell our product?”
  3. “How much should we invest in marketing?”
  4. “How many people should we hire?”

Best Practices

Idea
  1. Ask clear and precise questions to get the best answers.
  2. Avoid asking the same question multiple times: consult your conversation history first.
  3. Use Néo to understand concepts and mechanisms, not to obtain ready-made decisions.
