My first class

My first class

Info
This article is intended for instructors.

During the initial presentation in class, it is important to give students all the instructions they will need to start the simulation.

For each simulation, Praxar provides a PowerPoint file for instructors with a presentation describing the simulation process, the various elements covered by the simulation, and the registration process. The “Presentation Intro” file is available on your Instructor portal (in the Documents section of the Simulation panel) or in the Document zone under each simulation folder.

Use this opportunity to give the students instructions for completing the Preparation phase (tutorials and Practice Zone).

If you are using the Team version, the initial presentation gives you an opportunity to create the teams, and assign each a team number (1 to 50). See Forming teams in class for details on how to proceed.

As you can see, there are a number of things to be covered in the first class meeting, so you may want to prioritize some of them and take care of others, such as forming the teams, during another class.

NotesIf you wish, you can give the students the registration procedure before the first class. Once your group has been deployed, our team will send you a PDF with Registration Steps to pass on to the students.
