This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.
When configuring the options in a
Simulation, the instructor has the choice for students to begin the Simulation
at either a Test Year or directly from Year 1. This allows instructors to have
more flexibility in organizing their course plan when using the Simulation
To learn more about the Test Year,
see here . By default, the Simulation will start in
the Test Year.
The option to change this, so students start directly at Year 1
is only available until this particular situation occurs (Team Version Only):
A company has been created by a student or
instructor.
Once this happens, the Simulation has created
all the financial information for a company for the start year, so the option
cannot be changed post this event.
In the Solo version of the simulation, the
option is always available.
The configuration option is available in
two different places:
1. The Planner
If using the Planner to configure your Simulation(s), then the option can be
found within the Simulation menu options:
2. The Instructor Portal of each
Simulation
If configuring the Simulation solely in the
Instructor Portal of a Simulation, then the option is located in the
'Simulation' section, closer to the bottom of the page:
