Scheduling a deadline for completion of the Tutorials and/or the Practice Zone
This article is intended for instructors.
This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.
As it might be useful to schedule the Simulation phase, as an instructor, you can also control the progress of the Preparation phase. If you want to limit the time allowed to complete tutorials, or access to the practice zone, you can achieve it using the Calendar and/or the Planner.
With the Calendar
- Connect to the Praxar interface via www.praxar.com
- Click on the Simulation tile required
- Click on My calendar in the top right-hand corner of your screen
- Click on the box corresponding to the chosen date
- In the events drop-down menu, select Access to TUTORIALS
- Then select Disable access
- Set the time and Save
* To restrict access to the practice area, simply follow the steps above, but select the event Access to the PRACTICE ZONE.
With the Planner
- Connect to the Praxar interface via www.praxar.com
- Go to the Instructor Zone at the top center of your screen
- Select the Planner from the left-hand menu
- In the Preparation menu, you can set a deadline for closing access to the practice zone
- In the Simulation menu, you can compel the student to complete the tutorials before accessing the Simulation phase
If you choose the "Preparation first" option in the Planner, this will prevent any students from accessing the Simulation phase if they have not completed Tutorials. This may do more harm than good.
Please note that it is not possible to completely close access to tutorials via the Planner.
As an instructor, if you wish to evaluate completed tutorials according to a deadline, you can export the results of the preparation phase questions to an Excel file. You can also evaluate student engagement in the practice zone.
