Limiting access to the Simulation to class periods only

As the instructor, you may want your students to work on the simulation in a lab context. Using the Calendar, you can limit access to the simulation to class time only.
Please note, this type of configuration is not available if using the Planner to schedule events for the Simulation.
For example, follow these steps to make the Simulation phase available on Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m.:
- Go to your instructor profile for the appropriate simulation on the website at www.praxar.com.
- Access the Calendar.
- Add an “Access to the SIMULATION phase” event, selecting the “Make available” option for 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
- Add a second “Access to the SIMULATION phase” event, selecting the “Make unavailable” option for 4 p.m.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each week you will be using the simulation during class time.
Alternatively: If your goal is to make sure that students attend class – without necessarily blocking access to the Simulation phase outside the classroom – it is often better to simulate the market and generate the results at the beginning of the class.
