Kayak: Why has the number of employees increased?

Kayak: Why has the number of employees increased?

Info
This article is intended for students.

In the Kayak simulation, there are 2 ways to increase the number of employees:

  1. By decision, you can hire engineers, supervisors and secretary/accountant
  2. The simulation will automatically hire personnel for the other positions:
    1. Production employees are hired based on the number of rotomoulding ovens and the production capacity.
    2. The number of sales representatives is based on sales volume and/or number of sales territories.
    3. The administrative staffing changes are based on the produced quantity. The company’s administrative staff is minimal at the beginning of the simulation and increases in a stepwise fashion, but not in direct proportion to the produced quantity.
