Kayak: Where does the model name K1 come from?

This article is intended for students.

At the beginning of the simulation, all the teams start out with the same data.

Among other things, all the teams start out with a kayak called the K1. After the Test Year, the K1 model is automatically assigned a new name by the simulation, with each team’s model given a different name.

The name given to the kayak model does not influence the results.
