In the kayak simulation, there are many ways to recognize a company's potential success or failure. Kayak inventory is particularly important for analyzing sales.
The board of directors closely monitors inventory levels, as this is an excellent indicator of the management team's quality
Here are the scales we use:
Less than 1,000 kayaks in stock: normal situation.
Between 1,000 and 5,000 kayaks in stock: The kayaks are not selling well. Customers prefer competitors' products to our company's. It is urgent to identify the causes and take corrective action before the situation deteriorates further.
More than 5,000 kayaks in stock: The situation is becoming catastrophic. Our company cannot support such inventory levels without harming its viability. It is urgent to review our pricing policy and reduce excess inventory.
It is important to know that the inventory level is an early indicator of problems. Even if our company is still profitable, nothing should be overlooked to bring inventory back to a normal level!
