Before you begin the real simulation, you must be placed in a company. Depending on how your instructor set up the course, this may happen in different ways.


IdeaQuick answer: If your instructor gave you a company number, you will select it when you enter the simulation for the first time. If your instructor uses automatic assignment, the platform will place you in a company automatically.

How companies are assigned

Your instructor may choose one of the following options:

1. Individual work
      Your instructor may decide that students will work independently instead of in teams. In this case, you do not need to form or join a team with other students.

2. Automatic company assignment
      Your instructor may ask the system to assign students to companies automatically. If this is the case, you will already be assigned to a company when you enter the simulation phase.

3. Student-selected or instructor-formed teams
      Your instructor may allow students to choose their own teams, or they may form the teams in class.

      In both cases, your instructor will assign your team a company number, such as Company 1, Company 2, or Company 3.

      You will need this number when you enter the simulation phase for the first time.


When do I choose my company?

You do not choose your company immediately after registration.

You will be asked to choose your company number when you click on the Simulation button and enter the simulation phase for the first time.


How to join a company?

If your instructor gave you a company number, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Simulation button for your group simulation.
  2. A new window will appear.
  3. Select the correct company number.
  4. If you are the first student in your company to enter the simulation, your teammates' names will not yet appear.
  5. Review the company information carefully.
  6. If the information is correct, check the confirmation box.
  7. Click Join.




















AlertIf you are the first student in your company to join, you will be asked to name the company.

Choose carefully. The company name cannot be changed once it has been selected.
