Increase or decrease market demand

Increase or decrease market demand

Info
This article is intended for instructors.
Notes
This article applies to the Team version.
This article is for Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing simulations.

The market demand for the standard scenario is preset for each simulation year. However, instructors have the flexibility to adjust this demand to suit their course objectives.

  • Increasing Demand: Boosting demand can positively impact the overall industry, providing relief to struggling companies and motivating participants to improve their performance.

  • Decreasing Demand: Conversely, reducing demand can introduce new challenges, encouraging participants to adapt their strategies and think more critically.

Adjusting demand allows you to tailor the simulation experience, whether your goal is to support participants or present them with more complex challenges.

Warning
If you modify the demand for a group, all the companies within this group will be excluded from Praxar's World Ranking.

To modify the demand, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to www.praxar.com, go to Groups and click on the corresponding group.
  2. In the group dashboard, select the Scenario tab, and then the Current Year tab.
  3. In the middle of this page, you'll find the ''Demand'' section.
  4. Move your mouse to the right to increase the demand, and to the left to decrease. It is always possible to ''Return to the original value'' by clicking on this button.
