How to use the Engagement tool

Info
This article is intended for instructors.
Notes
This tool applies to only our Kayak, Golf, and Videogame simulations.

It is possible to create a custom engagement report for a simulation. This report provides a detailed view of participant interaction in different sections of the simulation, providing an accurate assessment of their engagement and seriousness. A default engagement report configuration is provided. This basic configuration is suitable for most use cases. However, you can modify the indicators and assign different weightings according to your needs.

Alert
Important: The engagement report includes the "Time Spent on Site" metric, which has only been tracked since August 20, 2024. For simulations completed before this date, this indicator will return a value of 0.
To learn how the engagement score is calculated, see this article : The Engagement Report - Detailed Information

To generate the engagement report:
  1. Access your profile on www.praxar.com, then open the Instructor Zone and click on “Engagement”.
  2. Select the group for which you want to generate the engagement report.
  3. In the “Results” tab, click on “Generate”.
  4. When the report generation is complete, you will be able to download it in Excel format.

To modify the engagement report:
  1. Access your profile on www.praxar.com, then open the Instructor Zone and click on “Engagement”.
  2. Select the group for which you want to modify the engagement report.
  3. In the “Configuration” tab, add or remove the indicators for which you want to take into account.
  4. For each indicator, set a weight.
Note:
  1. The total weighting of all indicators must be equal to 100. In case the total is not equal to 100, it will not be possible to generate the engagement report.
Idea

To copy the engagement report configuration to one or more other groups:

  1. Go to your profile on www.praxar.com, then open the Instructor Zone and click on “Engagement”.
  2. Select the row of the group for which you want to copy the configuration.
  3. Click on the “Actions” button.
  4. Choose “Copy configuration to…”.
  5. In the window that appears, select the groups to which you want to copy the report configuration
  6. Click on “Copy to selected groups”.

Alert
Please be aware that when you create a rating report configuration for a group by copying from another group, the two configurations remain entirely independent!

For instance, if you set up a configuration for Group A and then copy this configuration to Group B, any changes made to Group A’s configuration will not be automatically reflected in Group B. To update Group B with the latest configuration from Group A, you will need to repeat the copy process.
