Social and environmental considerations are now playing a more important role in the success of a business than ever before. The simulation requires students to balance the financial demands of shareholders with social and environmental perspectives.
The Golf simulation has three profit centers. Each department challenges you to consider various corporate, social, ethical, and environmental aspects in their managerial decisions.
The Social Score
The Social Score is made up of various decisions such as:
- Wages
- Training
- OHS & Labour Relations
- Donations to charitable organizations
The Environmental Score
The Environmental Score is made up of various decisions such as:
- Suppliers
- Eco-friendly Maintenance
- Energy management
- Water management
- Green spaces
Don't forget about the mini case studies that the Chair of the Board may present to you. These decisions might also affect your Social and/or Environmental scores.
