Financial Accounting: Using the Glossary to rename Accounts
This article is intended for Instructors
This feature is available only for the Financial Accounting simulation.
There are two main categories of Accounts: Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts.
Clicking on either of these will drop down their sub-categories:
Clicking on a sub-category will open its accounts on the right-hand side of the screen.
For our example, let's rename the account "Vehicle" to "Company Car".
We simply type "Company Car" in the Modified Name field, next to "Vehicle", like this:
The change is saved automatically.
If we want to remove the
Modified name, we can delete it manually, or click on the "Return to default" icon next to it
.
Now, moving over to a student's simulation, this is what they will see:
